Replace or tighten the A/C belt. If equipped with a serpentine belt, replace it.
Three: A timing belt and two serpentine belts. The timing belt drives the water pump and camshaft The serpentine belts drive the power steering, ac, and alternator.
Loose or worn A/C drive belt. Tighten or replace. If serpentine belt, replace.
Take the passenger side tire off and remove the splash guards... should be easy from there
Uppermost pulley is the Power steering pump. Those 2 bolts that hold it on are the take-up bolts, loosen those and the belt will become loose. Easy.1996 Neon has 2 separate belts not a serpentine. I would assume the 1995 is the same.
The belt tensioner is probably bad.
BELT
The timing belt on a Dodge Neon should be replaced every 100,000 miles.
you sell your dodge, and then buy a hybrid. No, this is not the answer to your question, but it saves gas, and is better for the environment. Or you can ignore that stupid comment and wait for an intelligent answer to your question
To change the belt tensioner pulley on a 2001 Dodge Neon, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the serpentine belt by using a wrench to rotate the tensioner pulley, then slide the belt off. Next, unbolt the old tensioner pulley from its mount and install the new one, securing it with the bolts. Finally, re-route the serpentine belt around the new tensioner and ensure it is properly aligned before starting the engine.
No, timing belt.
