Does a 1995 dodge caravan SE have an interference engine?" Does a 1995 dodge caravan SE have an interference engine?"
yes, all the Saturn DOHC motors are interference engines.
Yes
It is an interference engine.
As you listed this in the Saturn Vue category I will assume you have a Saturn Vue. The 2004 and up Saturn Vue engine was manufactured by Honda and it is an interference engine. The belt and water pump must be replaced every 100,000 miles. All other years used a GM V6 that was also an interference engine. The 4 cylinder Saturn Vue did not use a belt but had a chain.
The VG30E motor is an interference motor, with 0 valve clearance.
Yes it is an interference engine. Replace the belt at 90,000 miles.
No, from talking to repair shops and a dealer about my own Saturn Ion-2, I have learned that it does in fact use an interference design.
It is an interference engine, timing belt breaks during engine operation and the valves are going to hit the pistons.
yes you are screwed if the chain breaks
Yes it is.
The 1995 3.4L is NOT an interference engine. Change belt every 60,000 miles. The 1996-97 3.4L is an interference engine.
