$100 for a new switch at Napa Auto Parts. Most neutral safety switches are a sealed, non reparable unit. If you are doing this yourself, I would recommend testing the wiring before replacing the unit since it is expensive. According to the Napa website, the safety switch on the 2001 Chevy Malibu does more tha simply close when in neutral, so I cannot give specifics.
