The blades run around $5 each. It's probably that much but you can do it yourself. Wiper blades are a no brainer. Depending on where you are at many parts houses will put them on for you for nothing if you ask them to.
Go left to right when they are not going right to left
Near the windscreen wipers motor, on right.
It is important to have the right windshield wipers on a car. A 2000 Volkswagen Beetle has 21 inch long windshield wipers.
The fuse for the front windscreen wipers is located right under the steering wheel, where your feet go, you will prob have to lay on the floor of car to see them and read which one to replace. u will have to take the fuse box cover off and on the inside of the cover will have a diagram of what your fuses are for and where they are. windscreen wipers have a lil symbol of a windscreen and is number 6, the capacity fuse is 20A.
Step 1 is to be sure you get the right replacement wiper blades. The 1997 Pontiac Grand Am takes 19" replacement windshield wiper blades both sides front.
The fuses are behind the small recess in the dashboard below and right of the steering wheel in right hand drive 55S. Remove the two crosshead screws at the top to remove this and reveal the fuses.
You probably have shorted wires inside the combo switch. The assembly will need to be replaced.
Buy a new car. I have had the crank arm replaced(which is suppose to solve the problem) and I'm back at square one with the wipers not working at all now. AND THE DEALERSHIP DID THE REPAIRS!!! I'll get back to everyone if the dealership doesn't make this right.
Check your shear pins.
it probably wont "damage" anything, however it will make the glass and wipers really oily, which wont help much in cleaning the winshield, if you poured itin by mistake, just drainit out and refill with proper solution, and wipe the blades with rubbing alchohol, (not really too good for wipers) and REALLY clean the paint right away.
The linkage for the wipers could have slipped. If the linkage is not aligned right, then the wipers will not stop at the right spot.
Be sure you get the right replacement wiper blade. The 1998, 1999, 2000 Volvo s70 takes 21" replacement windshield wiper blades on both sides front.
