GCN pays ABC for air-time, but ABC does not own GCN.
I met Bob Wilbur soon after I joined ABC as a staff announcer in 1963. A world famous musician, Bob was a member of the ABC staff musicians. Members were assigned to various orchestras and groups within the overall staff of great sidemen. They were all ABC properties and worked for years until disbanded when the radio network ended its long standing contract with them as network radio ceased to be valued with live radio's demise in the late sixties, as I remember. TV used them as the ABC Symphony Orchestra for shows such as The Railroad Hour to my recall. Bob Wilbur is a gem and should be honored by all. Allan jefferies, a fellow ABC staff announcer, now retired, was host of a network radio show in which Bob Wilbur was often a guest, now lives in Pine Hurst, North Carolina. Citadel kept the ABC brand name and, as part of the deal, has exclusive marketing rights for the ABC News Radio product. Depends on what type of games you like. Gcn has better graphics. Ds has wifi and camera and shop. I personaly like the nds more due to it being hand held but Gcn is more durable due to you can buy new controls, and Gcn has more violent games.
