What happened to ezio?
No one knows exactly what happened to Ezio. When Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood ended, there was no mention of his fate. Curiously, there is no document or record about Altair's fate either. It is possible (and likely) that Ezio gathered his forces across Europe and continued to fight the Templar Order up until his death; when he died however, is not known.

The time line order does not have to make sense in this game since the Animus is designed for Desmond Miles to go back and forth to any time and extract memories from his ancestors. Without divulging too much of the story and "The Truth", the puzzles will reveal many conspiracies and involvements of key figures in history relating to the Templars... and they all lead to one point in biblical history. The purpose of the Creed, the mission of the Templars, reference to most of the known events in history such as Oppenheimer's nuke, Nikola Tesla's involvement with ????, the assassination of JFK, The Vatican, The Illuminati, Freemasons, etc. The game might not follow an exact or incremental flow and it doesn't need to. We already know of the many occurences in our history which changed the course of man's destiny. It is Desmonds task to merely understand what his blood line experience which played important parts of history or what they each discovered. I'm hoping this is a question and not just an invitation to blurt, since I love to speil what I find exciting and interesting... shame on you, and me.

Altair would win. Ezio is good. He has dual hidden blades and can do a lot of stuff. But in the Assassin's Creed universe, Altair is considered the greatest assassin of all time.

yes, in assassins creed two you are working with Ezio's memory to help Desmond become an assassin you also play as hm in the credit level and fight with a hidden blade this means the third one is going to be amazing.

Two things are wrong with that statement. 1) They're called assassins, just like Ezio. 2) You get "allies" in the first sequence when you hire mercenaries to fight with you. So which did you mean? If assassins, somewhere in Sequence 4.
What can Desmond do in assassins creed 2?
Desmond can free-run, fight, stab, kill, you name it he does it all but you hardly get to be him since your in the Animus the whole time.
