1st of all, there is not a 5gen iPod touch. there are only 4, but apple will probably announce one in the summer, mid-late June or July. 2nd of all, the 4th gen iPod touch has cameras (rear and front facing) and most cases would cover this up, so i advise not trying to do this. 3rd of all, the iPod 4 is a completely different shape than the 3rd gen, so even if you have a rubber, flexible case it will still be annoying and awkward to fit in your pocket or wherever you will put it. 4th of all, it would bend it if it was a regular plastic case because the new iPod is flimsy with the back being a thinner case of aluminum than previous models. 5th of all, the iPod 3rd gen is hard to find. apples most popular gb storage is 8 gb then 2nd is 32 and you cant have a 8gb 3rd generation, because apple doesnt make those. hope this helps!
