yes he is nervous and shy
Because Brutus is the main character of the play. Caesar isn't; he dies halfway through. There is a reason why we are watching Brutus and not Caesar while Caesar is thrice refusing a kingly crown.
After being offered the crown three times and refusing it three times, Caesar had what appeared to be an epileptic seizure. This occurs in Act 1, Scene 2 of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare.
The idea was that Caesar would refuse the Crown, thus demonstrating to the mob that he didn't want the power of a king. And it worked. Of course Caesar did want and actually had all the power of a king, and what he was refusing were the trappings that went along with it. This was ok with him, and made the foolish crowd think that by refusing the trappings, he was also refusing the power.
Rome formed the Republic to end the reign of a tyrannical king; so the idea of kingship was extremely unpopular in Rome. By refusing the crown, Caesar hope to silence his critics who claimed that he was attempting to become king.
Mark Antony offers the crown to Caesar, and Caesar accepts the crown on the third offer.
It is said by the ancient writers that the offering of the crown to Caesar was a put up job in order to test the mood of the people towards Caesar in the role of king.
He was an excellent leader, a strategic leader.(how he made the people think he was humble by refusing the crown). And he cares about the people of Rome. hope this helps
To give the false impression that he was not interested in honours and awards, whilst all the time he was working to become dictator.

He used the will of Caesar. He showed the body of Caesar and where each conspirator stabbed Caesar. He tells the mob that Brutus is honorable and what Brutus says is true, but disproves that statement when Antony talked about refusing the crown three times, helping the poor.
The difference about Caesar dialogue in comparison to Brutus is that Caesar departs in another politician. Also that Antony tries to give the crown to Caesar three different times.
