Canada has a Governor General (the Queen's representative), who exercises the governmental powers of the Queen on the advice of the prime minister. Each province of Canada also has a Lieutenant Governor, who perform the same function on a provincial scale. Each territory has a commissioner, who perform the same functions as a Lieutenant Governor but as representatives not of the Queen, but of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Federal Interlocutor of Métis and Non-Status Indians.

ahhh, trick question. Canada has no Govrener because that position doesn't exist. There is a Governer General, who represents the Queen in Canada in Parliment, but Governer is more of a term that is used to identify American politicians.

You could say that the Governer General is Michaelle Jean, and the Prime Minister (roughly equivelant to American president) is Stephen Harper.

A governor is called a governor in Canada. In the US and other federations, a Governor is the Chief Executive of one of the federated states. The Chief Executive of a Canadian province is called a Lieutenant Governor. Note, however, that this position is largely ceremonial. Since a Lieutenant Governor is unelected, they appoint a Premier who is accountable to the elected provincial legislature to run the government.
