It does not 'age' as such but it does adapt. for example, you would be able to tell what colour hair some one had by it but you would not be able to tell their age unless you compared it with their DNA from when they were born. i think. i am no med student though. =]

Is DNA made up of age sequences?

DNA is composed of sequences of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of the genetic code. Each nucleotide consists of a sugar, a phosphate group, and a nitrogenous base. The specific order of these nucleotides encodes genetic information, but DNA itself is not made up of "age sequences." Instead, it carries information that can influence traits and biological processes throughout an organism's life.

Why do we accumulate mutations as we age?

As we age, our cells undergo numerous divisions, which increases the likelihood of DNA replication errors. Additionally, the efficiency of DNA repair mechanisms declines over time, allowing more mutations to persist. Environmental factors, such as exposure to UV light and toxins, also contribute to the accumulation of DNA damage. Together, these processes lead to an increased burden of mutations in our cells as we grow older.
