The pharmicyst said no, but there is a codine allergy alert on the incert. I'm alergic to codine and need to know for sure.

CORRECTION: There is NO codeine in Dilaudid, both are opiates, but Dilaudid is hydromorphone, while codeine is, well codeine. Dilaudid is a fully synthetic opiate, while codeine is a naturally occuring opiate from the Poppy plant.

Dilaudid does not contain any tylenol. Dilaudid is simply hydromorphone and no other acive ingredients. Hydromorphone is roughly 3 to 4 times stronger than morphine. Most of the painkillers than contain acetomeniphen (active ingredient in tylenol) are the weaker ones like hydrocodone, codeine and small doses of oxycodone.

Dilaudid has straight hydromorphine in it which is MUCH stronger than codiene.
