It is most effective if taken at the first noticeable sign of an illness. I had a growingly severe sore throat and have been taking one packet each morning when I wake up and it seems the illness never quite develops. This very well could be a placebo effect, but either way it gives you a little burst of energy and is effective whether mentally or physically.
