I had ACL surgery 2 months ago. and im 14. I was told that the surgery would hurt, so I was ready. But after surgery I never felt any pain. I was completely exhausted for days after. But no pain. Although once at hospital it started hurting, I just asked for some pain medication and after a couple mins it wasnt hurting. You need to start excersices right after surgery, and those are a pain!! You have to do them 5 times a day! Even though they seem like a pain, its totally worth it. I know a guy who had surgery couple years ago and never did his exercises and now he has limited mobility in his knee. Physio will hurt, but again its worth it. good luck with your surgery :)
