No they do not! Used my card thus morning with no problem but tonight at same station they refused the debit card. Stating that they are "per-pay only". I pointed out that it's a "debit card" which is a point of sale transaction that is the same as cash. The manager said they would put a $50 hold on my account & if I didn't fill up to that amount they would release the hold in a few days. I told her to keep her gas & that I will be making my purchase from the station across the street at the same price without their hassle.

Debit cards can be used many places. A debit card is basically an electronic form of a check. When one deposits money into his/her checking account, this increases the amount in that account. In order to purchases goods and/or services, the debit card may be used. This will decrease the amount in that checking account. Most places that accept credit cards as a form of payment, will accept debit cards as well. If not, the debit card may be used at an ATM to retrieve cash.
