I think that God and Goddesses do have control over nature otherwise, the world wouldn't have been produced and there wouldn't be any trees to grow food (to give us nutritients) and phtosynthesis wouldn't proceed.

Surely they do have power over nature because motherearth can control the climate. Also, God told Noah to build boats and save the animals from the flood he is about to send. This proves that they do care about the nature as it is their creation and they have the power to do anything with it.

Can an Atheist get insurance against acts of god?

Of course. In business and contract usage an 'act of god' is not a religious term. It refers to an unreasonably severe, unpredictible event caused by natural forces without any human interference. It is an event over which the insured party, or party to a contract, has absolutely no control. Examples are: snowstorm, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, etc. Also called 'acts of nature' they are insurable and provide a valid reason for non-performance of a contract.

NO, Of course not. A hurricane is an act of nature. to think God did it you would have to believe that God Kills people. NO person in their right mind would think God is a murderer so it would make no sense to think a Hurricane is an act of God.Answer:A Hurricane is an act of nature. (in the US) Concerning Homeowners Insurance you will find no companies that still use the phrase "Acts Of God" in their policy statements, it is more common for the wording "Acts Of Nature" to be used, because Acts of Nature can be scientifically proven in court, Acts of God can not because it requires proof of the existence of said god in question to have committed the act.Answer 2:In religion a hurricane is an act of God, mostly used to punish the sinful population of one area by drowning men, women, children and infants in a violent storm of wind rain and flooding.Answer 3:God allows hurricanes to happen to bring us closer to Him. If everything was going great would we even think about turning to God? Also, unfortunately, hurricanes are also an consequence of Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden of Eden.

Is God in absolute control?

God is in total control in what he has planned for mankind at his own time. or Not total and complete control. If God had absolute control over EVERYTHING then he should be the one answering for all sins, not the sinner, as he is in control of the sinner. But we were given free will. God does not have absolute control. or I don't think so. If God is in absolute control, then why is there evil, famine, wars, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, etc.
