I don't think so, however Muslims respect and revere Jesus (peace be upon him). They consider him one of the greatest of God's messengers to mankind. The Koran confirms his virgin birth, and a chapter of the Koran is entitled 'Marya' (Mary).
shia:
if you mean by divine, being God or part of God, for sure No. but if you mean that he was the word of God (كلمه الله) that sent down to humankind, Yes. but never change him a superhuman being.
Arianism before 325 AD and Islam since 570 AD!
Yes, Islam acknowledges Jesus as a messenger of God, referred to as Isa in the Quran. However, Islam does not consider Jesus to be the son of God or divine, but rather a prophet with a message for the people of his time. Muslims believe in his virgin birth and miracles, and respect him as an important figure in Islam.
In Islam, saying "Jesus Christ" is not considered haram (forbidden). Muslims respect Jesus as a prophet and saying his name is not prohibited.
The Quran recognizes Jesus as a prophet and messenger of God, born to the Virgin Mary through a miraculous birth. It emphasizes his teachings and miracles, but does not consider him to be divine or the son of God. Muslims believe in Jesus as a significant figure in Islam, but not as the savior or son of God as in Christianity.
Religions were founded after both Jesus and the Buddha. Both leaders taught the highest moral truths, but the Buddha said that he did not wish to be regarded as divine, while John's Gospel shows Jesus declaring that he was God. Christians regard Jesus as as the Son of God and equally divine with God. However, Muslims regard both Jesus and the Buddha as prophets of Islam, but say that neither is divine.
Most religions, with the exceptions of Satanism and some branches of Judaism, regard Jesus as a significant figure, often as a prophet or a divine being. In Christianity, he is seen as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity. Islam acknowledges Jesus as a prophet and messenger of God, but not as divine. Other faiths may recognize his historical impact or moral teachings without attributing to him divine status.
About the same as Christianity. Both issued forth in the sons of Abraham. Both religions have the same prophets, including Jesus. Christians of course, find Jesus to be divine, that is, God in a human form. In Islam, Muhammad was the core deity.
God
Judaism and Christianity share all the prophets of the Old Testament while Islam recognizes about 20 with the major exception being Ishmael which only Islam considers a prophet. Judaism recognizes no New Testament prophets which ends with Jesus Christ while Islam recognizes about 3 or so which includes Jesus Christ.
The Quran teaches that Jesus Christ is a revered prophet and messenger of God, but not divine. He is considered a significant figure in Islam and is respected for his teachings and miracles.
Jesus Christ is one of the Prophets for Muslims in Islam !
No. Within Islam, Jesus is an important prophet but does not have the function of being the Savior of Humanity, like he does in Christianity. According to Islam, each person achieves Divine Grace for himself though faith and good works.
