Yes. As a human, he was crucified , died , and his body was buried. When Jesus was dead, one of the soldiers took a spear and speared the body of Jesus. Blood and water came out which meant he was dead.
First off you have to understand that Jesus is the God/Man. Jesus is the Son of God who came down from heaven and was born as a human Baby to Mary at Bethlehem. Mankind are sinners since the Garden of Eden. All persons are born spiritually dead. Mankind needed a Savior to bring them back to God. This Savior had to be a man and he had to be sinless in order to satisfy a holy God when He offered Himself as a sacrifice to God. Jesus Christ filled this order perfectly. He had been born a human being and He lived a sinless life. He was the perfect sacrifice. Jesus had to die on the cross as a Man, a human being for the salvation of human beings. This He did almost 2000 years ago. He died on the cross of Calvary taking all of mankind's sin upon Himself. He was buried and He rose the third day.
However, even though Jesus paid the price for man's sin, man still has to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. It is not an automatic happening. Man has to do his part and recognize Jesus as their Savior. Ask God to show you how you can come to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
On the cross on the hill of the skull, called Golgotha.
He came as baby, died for our sins, was physically resurrected (as we too will be) and saved us and will come again.
It is generally believed to be a literal event, that Satan took Jesus to the top of the temple, physically. Just as Jesus magically appeared here and there after his resurrection. The text reads as though it is an actual event that really happened, just as described. Some believe the bible is really true, while others believe it is a fable, or a philosophy. It takes a measure of faith, doesn't it?
Horribly
