At her school Marlborough College, the curriculum was as follows:

In addition to the core, pupils make a choice from a wide range of options: Art, Classical Civilisation, Drama, French, German, Geography, Greek, History, Latin, Music, Russian and Spanish. Design Technology is also offered but this is studied at AS level rather than GCSE.

Pupils are normally required to choose four subject options of which one must be a modern foreign language.

Pupils choosing Greek do so as a fifth option, for an additional four periods a week.
