I was looking at the 2006 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows :
Use of synthetic or synthetic blend engine oil is not mandatory
A 5w-20 synthetic blend, is recommended in my 02. I would recommend the same.
When I first asked the dealer about switching to synthetic oil, he said the it already used a mixed synthetic and regular oil and that 100% synthetic was unnecessary.
I was looking at the 2002 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it calls for 5W-20 semi synthetic . ( as long as you have no oil leaks , or are using oil , then 5W-20 , 100 % synthetic should be better ) P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician but I have been using 100 % synthetic in my 1995 Ford Explorer since 2001
I was looking at the 2002 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows ( 5W-20 ) and also in the book it shows ( 5W-20 , Motorcraft Premium Synthetic Blend )
I was looking at the 2003 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows ( 5W-20 , certified for gasoline engines ) Motorcraft or equivalent oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-H The use of synthetic blend or synthetic is not mandatory , the engine oil just needs to meet the above shown specification
They take 5w30 and i would use synthetic. That's what was ran in mine and they last longer that way.
Depends. 3K for regular oil, 5K for synthetic blend, 7.5K for full synthetic. More or less, depending on the type of driving you do, and how dusty the conditions.
