There are people who have made a virtual cult or Quack Religion out of Star Trek much as a younger audience has to some degree with Marvel comics ( called Titanic True Believers) in Marvel comics parlance. to a lesser degree this is true of the quack religiosity done up about the fictional persona of Sherlock Holmes- the Baker Street Irregulars. Come on the Man never existed.

No. Captain America and the X-Men are both characters in Marvel Comics Group- one of the two dominant comics houses in the US./ Therefore they can operate together as a team, but I don"t recall this ever being done. As a kid- I found DC comics, better drawn, closer to civilized reality ( the Newspaper setting of, say Superman) and less violent than Marvel.- that being said X-men is a superhero team in Marvel comics. The Xavier Institute of advanced studies is their cover-organization. Captain America came out during World War II and has no real super powers but is kind of an enhanced super-patriot- as Batman as a consummate crime-fighter. so it goes.
