MSG and meat tenderizer are not the same , nor even related. Meat tenderizer is an enzyme that breaks down the connective tissue in meat and makes it more tender. MSG (monosodium glutamate) is a chemical, which like table salt (sodium chloride) adds flavor to food. In other words, no amount of MSG is the same as meat tenderizer.
So won't get to hard.

Do not use MSG! It can harm the dog. Use meat tenderizer sprinkled on the feces. But use meat tenderizer that doesn't have MSG! You might have to read between the lines as MSG is called by other names. Find one that is based on enzymes, such as papaya or pineapple. You can also retrain your dog. Take them out on a leash and don't let them eat feces. Distract them with a treat away from it and get it picked up immediately. After time the dog will look to you for the treat and ignore the feces. But still you will need to clean it up ASAP which is always a good practice.
To TENDERIZE means to take a meat tenderizer ( found in Wal-Mart) and slam the meat

I'm guessing: Most chefs use "Ajinomoto" - Aji no Moto - "Essence of Taste." The company Ajinomoto Kabushiki-gaisha in Japan produces it and markets it worldwide. In America, we call it monosodium glutamate, or MSG. While this product is primarily a taste enhancer, it also is believed to tenderize the meat.
