Some businesses use Microsoft Excel of Access to function as employee scheduling software, though that is not precisely the primary function of either Excel or Access.

Snap Schedule is a product made by Business Management Systems which graphically looks like a Microsoft styled product. Their website states that their software is "built on the latest Microsoft software tools" and that they've won "five Microsoft awards for software excellence". However, I see no indication that they are owned by Microsoft, as is the impression some people get.

Yes it looks like they have a software called &Project Professional 2010 and it has scheduling and planning capabilities. It also has great reviews on their website.
