Barack Obama Helped Craft It
Benefit hopping is the act of attending multiple charity benefits in one night.
If it were true, I'm sure God would let Mitt Romney know. However, individuals cannot be blamed for natural disasters. Hurricanes have been happening since the beginning of time and are not connected to any act of man, especially something as trivial to God as the potential leader of a country. If God didn't want Romney to be president, wouldn't he have Mitt Romney killed directly, rather than causing damage and death to innocent people but not affecting Mr. Romney at all?
Mitt Romney did not win the 2012 presidential election. However, during his campaign, he focused on issues such as job creation, reducing government spending, and repealing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). He also stressed the importance of promoting economic growth and reforming entitlement programs.
Senator John Sherman introduced the act which was designed to prohibit monopolies and encourage more competition in the market place.
Both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have experience trying to pass health care reform, but they never worked together-- they passed their bills at different times and under different circumstances. When Mitt Romney was Governor of Massachusetts from 2003-2007, he signed into law a health care bill that is still widely popular in Massachusetts. Barack Obama's version, often called "ObamaCare" but actually called the Affordable Care Act, was put forward in 2009-2010, and in some ways, is similar to Mr. Romney's, since it incorporates both Republican and Democratic ideas.
There are probably several Christian groups planning in some way to thwart the campaign of Mitt Romney. However, it seems the consensus among conservative Christians is that although they consider Mormonism to be on the fringe of Christianity - if it is Christian at all - Mitt Romney shares more of their values than Barak Obama and is therefore the better candidate. I heard one conservative Christian commentator say something like this "Mitt Romney is a non-Christian with Biblical values. Barak Obama is a Christian who doesn't follow the Bible. In this case, it makes more sense to vote for someone with my values, than someone who professes my same faith but doesn't act like it." Other Christians accept Mormons as fellow Christians and therefore have no problem with Mitt Romney's faith.
No. Mitt Romney has not held any political office during the entire health care debate, so it is impossible for him to have proposed the new health care law. However, many of the ideas (including the core principles of enforced enrollment and portable insurance) found in the Affordable Care Act were first implemented into law during Romney's term as governor of Massachusetts. He did not, however, originate these ideas, most of which come from several mid-1990s Republican think-tanks, and the actual law passed in Massachusetts was by a Democrat-controlled legislature (though, Romney signed it into law).
The Affordable Care Act (often called "ObamaCare") passed congress in 2010 and was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2012. It is based on a successful program instituted in Massachusetts by then-governor Mitt Romney. A link to what the President says the Act will do is below.
Romney
Mitt Romney's policies focus on fiscal conservatism, advocating for reduced government spending and lower taxes to stimulate economic growth. He emphasizes the importance of free markets and job creation, often supporting measures to enhance business competitiveness. Romney has also expressed a commitment to healthcare reform, promoting market-based solutions while opposing the Affordable Care Act. Additionally, he supports a strong national defense and has taken stances on immigration reform that prioritize border security.
Frankly, that is unknown. His current position is that the Affordable Care Act (commonly known as ObamaCare) should be fully repealed. However, beyond that, he has made no concrete proposals as to how or even if he would change the existing (pre-ObamaCare) system.
