No, I wouldn't characterize Santa as a lie. Santa is a dream. A goal, a hope... a wish, perhaps, but never a lie. There are things in life that we believe in that aren't tactile. Ideas of brotherhood and peace and kindness and generosity. Santa is an abstract noun in that same sense. He stands for things that are good, and lives in the hearts and minds of people dedicated to that end.
Santa clause is not a myth
Santa Clause is often considered to be based off of the christian saint Nicholas. St. Nicholas is said to have given coins to three unmarried women who were too poor to pay dowry, which at the time meant they couldn't marry. Because St. Nicholas was too humble to openly give charity, at night he threw two purses through the window of the women's houses. On the third night the father of these women had caught on, and wanted to find out who was giving the money to the women. So he waited at the window to try and find the person who was giving this money. St. Nicholas seeing the man, decided to drop the money down the chimney, which then landed in one of the girls stockings, which they had left over the fireplace to dry. That is, at least allegedly where the story of Santa Claus Originated from. Meaning he is more so a character based off of a historical figure, than a myth.
no i truly believe he is real there have been many reported sights of him, i truly believe santa is real.
NORAD is playing a game, don't take it so seriously.
Oh! Santa is magical and his heart likes to be giving. Santa will always be real and will never die. He's magic!
Santa Claus HAS to be real because on like 5 websites there is a Santa tracker and on Christmas Eve there is a Santa Tracker to track where Santa Claus is on the world and they couldn't lie!.
The only good lie is the lie about the tooth fairy Santa Claus and the Easter bunny other than that they are all bad lies
Somewhat off the wind, but why not Must be Santa, Must Be Santa, Must be Santa Has Big Claws! Santa Claus is a downright Myth of Titanic proportions!
Parents do not want to lie to their kids about things such as the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus but the reason why they opt to do the lying is because they want kids to have hope in things that other people might not have hope in.
Santa Claus is a spiritual being, only visible in fiction.Of course no one has seen "Santa" he is not real, and the fact that we program our kids heads with these lies, only to bring them not to trust us. Use your knowledge, we teach our kids not to lie yet we lie to them, Why? Get into God's word and find the truth before it is too late!
Yes, I am very sorry to say this but Santa Claus is a fat joll old lie! It's something parents tell their kid to make Christmas more enjoyable! Sorry xx Santa Claus represents the spirit of Christmas that is very real & many people play the role to make it happen for the benefit of others.
How they applied it was they used makeup and some sticky beard to app lie it to his face:)
Ummmmm No. I would lie to you about how santa is real and stuff but I don't feel like it. Santa Claus isn't asleep he doesnt exist.
EMBELLISHMENT: It means it's a lie, supported by thousands of people to bring 'joy' and 'hope' to children, except those children eventually follow suit and continue the lie, until one day NORAD accidentally shoots down 'santa'.
because adults think kids are stupid and dumb enough to believe Santa. another reason is to boost our imaginations. udults have no right to control are imagination. that's what i think.
It's generally recommended to wait until children are around 7-8 years old to have this conversation. This is because by this age, most children have started to question the existence of Santa Claus on their own and can handle the truth in a mature way.
If the kid's parents don't believe in Santa but want their children to. I believe in Santa.P.S. Do you get gifts from Santa? Answer: Yes, of course they are.If parents are absent then other relatives or guardians fill in and pretend that there is a Santa Claus to perpetuate the myth. The exact reason for adults to lie to children in this manner is not clear - obviously children all will figure it out sooner or later. This insight will prove to the children that adults are willing to tell them lies, especially about invisible friends.
