There are a lot of similar physical characteristics and there have been hints to the relationship but the fact of it has not yet been confirmed. I suspect they are teasing us with the possibility and then throw in some grotesque twist at a dramatic moment.
There is proof of that Naruto and Yondaime are father and son, in Naruto Shipuden episode 440 in the manga series.
It was hinted at in a shippuden episode that Naruto's father was the fourth Hokage. naruto was making a new and very dangerous technique and another character looked at him and thought of how he was like his father and it showed the ghost of an image of what seems to be the fourth Hokage. it's hard to explain; check it out on www.tailedfox.com, which has all the episodes in subbed Japanese and is updated every Thursday. However, there is now a sequel series called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations which follows the next generation of ninjas, including Naruto's son Boruto.
