There have been some websites that speculated, without any proof, that President Obama wanted a third term, if that were allowed (it is not). But there is no evidence to support those speculations. In fact, President Obama seems ready to move on with his life, and become a private citizen. He will continue to be involved in politics and help Democrats with their campaigns, but he seems okay about serving out his second term and then leaving office.
