There's no set age for that. I've seen men in their 50's still wearing A&F. Most of my friends stopped in college. Not having the logo plastered all over them is a good thing as well as buying neutral mature colors (Gray, White, Black, Navy Blue). So if you really like these brands, just stick to these rules and you will be fine.
You can find kids clothes for less at Old Navy, either online or in store. They sell kids clothes from new borns, all the way to 16-year-olds. They always have sales going on and even have coupons if you sign up with them via email.
This is a funny question, because I've thought about this as well. ... Here's my rationale. I buy A and F henleys and flannels that don't have the logo placed anywhere on them. I figure if it doesn't have the logo anywhere, than it's just like any old flannel or henley except that it's made better and it fits really well. At that point, I figure I can wear them and be 80 years old. What's the difference?
There are quite a few online places that sell baby boy clothes. My personal favorites include Baby Gap, Old Navy, Gymboree, Carters, and Osh Kosh. These all carry up to date and in style baby clothing in all sizes.
