No. Instead, Riku becomes Riku-Ansem. In a cutscene in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, after you beat Riku, he quotes, "I have to release the power in my heart, the dark power that I've been holding back, even, even if it changes me forever," and knocks Roxas out.
SPOILERSRiku never became a Heartless, because he never vanquished his heart but simply submitted to the darkness. His heart was enveloped in darkness and hid Ansem's appearance deep within it. Riku hid the darkness with his black blindfold to prevent Ansem's power from fully overtaking Riku, but when Riku needed to defeat Roxas at Memory's Skyscraper, he removed the blindfold and revealed Riku-Ansem from within.
no. He does become a heartless at one point, but he recovers from that XDXDXD
Yes. Riku could see just fine with his blindfold on. It is not meant to blind him, It is meant to stop the darkness in his heart from awakening. We see this when Riku takes his blindfold off and turns into Ansem in Kingdom Hearts II.
Well, Riku (if you are talking about in KH1) was possesed by Ansem, or Xeharnorts (I cant spell it lol) Heartless. It was not really him. Riku was never bad when he was actually not possesed.
Riku-Ansem is identical to Ansem, which is the Heartless of Xehanort.
the name to distinguish KH1 Riku. Riku(normal) was the boy on the island, dark Riku was the heartless lord, with the armor previous to ansem, seeker of darkness infiltrating his body, where he is named Riku-ansem. Riku with the cloak is called cloaked Riku, and Riku that looks like ansem, seeker of darkness doesn't have it's own designated name. Claification, dark Riku is the Riku wearing the heartless armor, commands heartless and works for maleficent before ansem, seeker of darkness abducts him.
Maybe the blindfold wasn't enough to retain Riku's darkness when he ultimately submitted to darkness at Memory's Skyscraper in The World That Never Was. Riku decided to embrace the darkness, rather than hold it back when he realized how strong Roxas actually was, so we're forced to assume that Riku could no longer use that blindfold.
SpoilersXehanort had turned into a Heartless that called himself Ansem and controlled Riku. So technically, yes, it was Xehanort, but then no, it was his Heartless. The point is, the real Ansem was a good guy, not the one controlling Riku.
Riku wears a black blindfold throughout Kingdom Hearts II to conceal the darkness deep within him.
Because when Riku went into the Door to Darkness, the darkness consumed him, so he could use the powers of the dark, look like Xehanort when he was a heartless, and a darkness keyblade.
Since there is a Nobody when there's Heartless, Sora's Heartless "Anti-Sora" wields darkness, since Heartless are beings of darkness. Otherwise, Riku-Ansem is the one who wields darkness, because Riku had released the darkness in his heart to use it.
It depends on who "Ansem" is, because there are really 3 different "Ansem"':One is the real Ansem the Wise who disguises himself as DiZ because the other 2 Ansem's take his identity. One fake "Ansem" is Xehanort's Heartless, who calls himself Ansem but is really the antagonist of KH1.The third "Ansem" (the second fake Ansem) is Riku-Ansem: after Riku takes off his black blindfold at Memory's Skyscraper in order to gain enough dark power to defeat Roxas, he permanently turns into Riku-Ansem, who is really Riku but now looks like the other fake Ansem and has more combat power.Since all Nobodies are created from the creation of Heartless, Xemnas is the Nobody of Xehanort's Heartless, Ansem.
