Russia has plentiful natural resources - oil, coal, natural gas and wood, to name a few. These resources are in high demand throughout Russia and the world. These resources could make Russia prosperous (meaning financially successful) because they can be sold for a lot of money. Unfortunately Russia has a large supply or natural resources, but they are difficult to reach in the Ural mountains and in the arctic portions of Siberia. Fun fact: Some Russians are hoping that Global Warming continues causing the melting of the Arctic Ice Caps. This would allow them to access their natural resources more easily and make more money!
Large oil amounts,coal,gas and wood.
Russia is a very large country. It is hugely rich in natural resources such as oil, coal and minerals. It has been "living" off this wealth for many years. It is Russia's natural resources that make it "rich"
Russia is the world's largest mineral and energy supply and is known as an "energy superpower", containing 22% of the world's oil, 16% of the world's coal, and 40% of the world's natural gas. Very well known for its tree's, Russia has 1/5 of the world's timber and wood, no surprise. iron ore, nickel, coal, gold, diamonds, furs, petroleum, zinc, aluminum, tin, lead, platinum, titanium, copper, tungsten phosphates, and mercury are the most popular natural resources that Russia provides. Russia has many advantages, and a few disadvantages, for its very hard to mine up north rather then down south. Below are some short notes about the large amounts of natural resources in Russia:Has the worlds largest oil reservesSecond largest coal reserves1/5 largest lead reservesLargest reserves of water in lakesLargest diamond depositsSecond largest potassium reservesEnormous fish reservesRussia's forest resources, also known as Taiga, are larger then America's mainland! Taiga contains 1/3 of the worlds timber, and is home to numerous animal resources.
Russia has an abundance of resources that foreign conquerors have coveted for centuries and few natural barriers between themselves and their neighbors. Resources include fertile land, a large population, and vast reserves of timber. Many cities, such as Novgorod, were renowned for their riches generated by trade. More recently other raw materials including oil, coal, natural gas, and various metals have made Russia a prospective target for hostile enemies such as the Nazis and Japanese.
A country can develop its economy without a large number of mineral resources by, Exporting Manufactured goods to other countrys.
California's major energy resources are natural gas, coal, nuclear, and large hydro. Natural gas is their largest resource with 40 percent of homes and businesses using it.
IMPORT GOODS FROM LARGE COUNTRIES.
Africa has large quantities of natural resources that include oil, diamonds, gold, cobalt, uranium, petroleum etc. Lot of the natural resources are still unexplored.
World leaders in the supply of Oil, Natural Gas, Gold, Nickle, Uranium, Diamonds, Lead, Grain, Copper, Lumber...amung other things Also a large majority of the worlds fresh water. p.s. (The Illegal Pot Industry is the largest in the world and rivals Lumber and other leading natural resources in annual revenue)
. Russia possesses rich reserves of iron ore, manganese, chromium, nickel, platinum, titanium, copper, tin, lead, tungsten, diamonds, phosphates, and gold, and the forests of Siberia contain an estimated one-fifth of the world's timber, mainly conifers
The most important resources include large fishing grounds, oil and natural gas.
