Serpentine belts are used by all modern auto manufacturers to drive equipment such as, the water pump, alternator and the the air conditioning compressor.
yes
Use the Gold antifreeze. It lasts longer and does not cause corrosion to the cooling system.
Saturn recommends 5W30. But I put 10W30 in my 2002 Saturn SL2 now that it has higher mileage, and it runs like a gem. I use Quaker State High Mileage (with Slick 50) to give it additional lubrication.
recomended 5w-30 but for regions above 20 degrees fahrenheit 10w-30
Look at the oil filler cap. My 97 SL2 says 5W-30.
Press and hold time(recall), and use the up and down options for tuner to adjust time
its a gm product so it should be dextron II but its ok to use dextron III its actually better to use
No clutch cable... Saturns use a hydraulic clutch system for all manual transmissions.
The factory coolant is Dexcool. I used the Prestone universal, works with all models type. Seems to be fine.
You use a paper clip to flash the SES light to get the engine code for '91-'95 s-series. Or you use an OBD II scanner for '96+ s-series
No, there is no timing belt on any of the the 4 cylinder Saturns, they all use an internal timing chain.
Yes. As long as it's not really cold. This is according to http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-58.html
