- Kishimoto, in my opinion, is not too strong in the romance section. So far the biggest canon romance we have received in Naruto is Asuma and Kurenai. Even then he killed off Asuma because he probably thought it was getting too girly for his tastes. Naruto was made to be an action manga, not for girls to read and giggle about the cutest couple. (But in all honesty, I hope Sasuke does.)
