Although if you unlock Sonic The Hedgehog (playable), you automatically unlock Shadow The Hedgehog as an assist trophy. Also, you can get a Shadow The Hedgehog trophy if you're lucky to find one on the coin launch game. At least you'll have Shadow on Super Smash Bros. Brawl. (But not as a playable character, sorry!) He is playable with hacks. but most of the time it will be some dumb skin hack instead of a psa but if you use a psa you cant play as regular sonic

Shadow is not a bad guy lets set that straight before i continue with this short story of why he was created: Dr Gerald Robotnik created the project shadow (not the hedgehog) over pure anger because his daughter Maria was killed, Shadow the hedgehog was made to protect Maria clearly he failed to do that all though it wasn't his fault he did try. Shadow the hegehog is considered bad in the game for one reason he wanted to grant Maria's last wish which he thought was revenge so he would end up trying to destroy the world using the Eclipse Cannon but of course Sonic thwarted his plain when they realize project shadow (again not the hedgehog) was going to crash into the earth with space colony ark shadow and sonic turned super and went to stop project shadow. When they did so shadow realized maria's wish was for the people of earth to be happy, him and sonic used chaos control to warp the space colony back to where it belonged and shadow ended up plummeting to earth before he disappeared his last words where "this is what you wanted right".

I hope so because to me shadow needs to learn to love, and earn her love in return just like beauty and the beast let's wait, and see. (To me I think it's maria robotnik that he cares the most from 50 years ago but now as a hedgehog as his form like they made as a unlockable character from sonic crisis, and this story from deviantart called the return of maria robotnik but I wish they that story a sonic the hedgehog movie.)
