Regular 87 Octane with no more than 10% Ethanol
From what I've heard, if your vehicle was not designed to run on ethanol, don't put it in the tank. Ethanol is a type of alcohol, and will corrode fuel lines, fuel injectors and cause a number of problems. 99, suburban....I'd use regular gas to be safe
yes
In most areas. yes. There should be a sticker on the pump saying if it has ethanol in the gas.In most areas. yes. There should be a sticker on the pump saying if it has ethanol in the gas.
You don't have to remove gas, just add good gas as ethanol gets used up.
if its regular gas
Depends. Sunoco has it available, but so does Shell. It is up to the dealer if he wnats to put a pump in for it. Persoannly, I think there will come a day when most stations will offer it has a third alternative to 87-89-91 octane. Beats the crap out of ethanol added gas by a wide margin. Better mileage and better performance.
You would get slightly better distance per volume of the fuel used.
Yes. Almost all modern gasoline contains a ethanol. there's also a complex additive package that's supposed to keep motors clean, and help out with smog. it works alright, but you cant leave gas sitting unused for more than about 2 months before it goes bad, starts to change color and turn to varhish
I know over time that gas with ethanol will deteriorate the fuel lines on a boat, because they were not made for ethanol. I do not know, however, what would happen with a plastic boat gas tank. One would assume that if it did destroy the gas can, the government would mandate a warning of some sort. Otherwise, people could get killed.
Not quite Baton Rouge, but I guess it depends on how bad you need it: I have heard from multiple sources that the shell (super stop) just west of the tanger outlet in Gonzales has e free, also the shell near burnside and airline in gonzales, and the shell in prarieville where highway 73 crosses I-10. Sorry its not closer to home, but there you go. Might want to test the gas first too (fill jar with water, draw line at water line, put gas in, shake around, if there is ethanol the acqeous layer will no longer be on longer be on the line). Good luck.
The highest octane non ethanol gas available at least 91 octane
