As is the case with most foods, it depends on who makes it. Shepherd's pie is usually (but not necessarily always) considered a dish to make from leftovers, so if you really liked the stuff that goes into it the first time it was served, you'll probably like the combination. You'll usually find mashed potatoes, vegetables like peas and/or corn, and ground meat in it. Personally, I find it delightful.
