As I am aware, the accreditation issue is on going. As of this time the college is still accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). If the school does lose the SACS accreditation, it could have a negative affect on those students who have not graduated yet while the school still has the accreditation, and certainly students who apply in the future.

Where would the presbyterian denomination be placed on the political spectrum?

As a body, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) generally is regarded as fairly liberal or more recently, "progressive," because the PCUSA tends to promote issues of justice for people who are impoverished, malnourished or suffer any sort of oppression. Other areas of importance to Presbyterians include matters concerning women's rights, human trafficking, and the sustainable use of resources, all of which tend to be viewed as "liberal" or "progressive" issues. However, local PCUSA congregations and individual Presbyterians encompass the full range of the political spectrum.
