I don't believe there is a super accurate answer to this. I would guess that it is more based on the specific piece of gum and the way you chew them. Of course, on all the commercials they will tell you their gum lasts the longest but that isn't really true, they might not even have tested it for all we know.
I say to just go with your favorite type of gum and enjoy it while it lasts. If you want it to last longer just get a new piece of gum.
Personally I prefer Stride so if this will help you... go with Stride.
