Anything that helps your help is good. There are no vitamins or food which will cure depression, but getting enough Vitamin D is important for absorbing calcium for healthy bones. When you're depressed, you don't take care of yourself, and taking a good multi-vitamin will help with that. Don't take more Vitamin D than recommended - and remember it is usually found in milk also.
Vitamin B consists of a complex of vitamins including:Vitamin B1 - thiaminVitamin B2 - riboflavinVitamin B3 - niacin or niacinamideVitamin B5 - pantothenic acidVitamin B6 - pyridoxine, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine, or pyridoxine hydrochlorideVitamin B7 - biotinVitamin B9 - folateVitamin B12 various cobalamins; commonly cyanocobalamin in vitamin supplements
While none of these vitamins are considered treatments for any part of Bipolar disorder, there is limited evidence that folate may decrease the symptoms of mania. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23147067
That being said, it is known that a deficiency in B vitamins can bring on psychiatric symptoms and mimic bipolar disorder. For example, a deficiency in B12 can bring on agitation, negativism, confusion, insomnia and other symptoms. There are case reports of psychiatric disorders due to vitamin B12 deficiencies like this one: http://www.capmh.com/content/pdf/1753-2000-6-25.pdf
So, if you're deficient in vitamin B it's possible that taking it could help with your symptoms but if you're not, there is no evidence suggesting that it will help bipolar depression.
Vitamin D can help with depression. I recommend getting out in the sun as the sunlight helps your body produce vitamin D. You can also get a special light, often called a SAD light, to help you get "sunlight" if you live in a dark climate. If you'd rather take a supplement, those are available anywhere vitamins are sold.
