"WP7 is missing core address book integration APIs that our application requires" - WhatsApp Inc. CEO Jan Koum "The app (WhatsApp) constantly scans your local address book and compares the phone numbers within to its massive list of users. When someone in your address book has WhatsApp installed on his or her phone, an entry will automatically be added to your WhatsApp contact list. Because Windows Phone 7 does not give apps a way to access and scan the address book, this key functionality would be impossible on the platform"

If you're referring to the Windows Contacts/Address Book, the exact steps depend on your Windows version and which application is storing the contacts. Generally, you can: Open the Contacts or address-book application. Find the contact or address you want to remove. Select the contact. Choose Delete or Remove. Confirm the deletion if Windows asks. If the address is appearing as an email autocomplete suggestion rather than an actual saved contact, deleting the contact may not remove it. In that case, you usually need to remove the suggestion directly from the email application's autocomplete list. It's also worth checking whether the contacts are synced with an account such as Microsoft, Outlook, or another service, because deleting a synced contact may remove it from other connected devices as well. So, the key is to first identify whether the address is a saved contact or an autocomplete suggestion, and then delete it from the appropriate place.
