No because the old xbox was made before microsoft inventd the 360.When they made the 360 the thought that they should make a project to allow cutomers, to be able to communicate with other people. So then one person thought about the name, xbox live. Then it was announced that the xbox was old and famised and now the 360 has xbox live so people can communicate with other living beings.So basiclly if other people say that u can do xbox live on a old xbox,there are just trying to be cool if they are a lame geek squad of I am cool which the are not. So tell whoever told you that you can do xbox live on a old xbox.
