'Child Refusing To Visit Other Parent? Depends on where he lives. But if they don't want to for a good reason, they shouldn't have to.
My 13-year-old daughter hates her father and she prays that when she turns 14 she will not have to go visit him . What are the laws in the state of Indiana about the age of a child to make the decision. Or does a judge make the final decision?
If your child doesn't want to see the father then the courts can not force them.
I'm not sure about legal but be the baby's father! You created him/her now stick with it! But I do think you have to visit the child and provide child support.
Yes.
State laws vary but the Child Support Enforcement Division of the State Department of Social Services may be able to pursue child support from the paternal grandparents of the child as long as the father of the child is under eighteen. The mother should visit the local family court and ask to speak with an advocate.
Yes
{| |- | Indiana has no emancipation statute. Have a child does not make one an adult. Being able to have a child does not mean one can take care of the child. You still must be 18 to be considered an adult. |}
Yes
No he can not
That is up to the judge to decide based on Child Protective Service's report. You have to call them and tell them what is going on in order to get help.
If the father has court ordered visitation, yes, he does. If the mother believes it's a dangerous situation for the child (ie dad's a drug abuser) then she needs to go back to court and request that the vistiation order be modified.
If the father has joint-custody of the child, not many. You are also at risk of an accusation of child alienation if you refuse.
