Yes it does
Nissan Altima was created in 1993.
Closest to front of engine (where serpentine belt is).
Bolted to the engine inside the oil pan
Why is your 1993 Altima Nissan making a clicking noise but does not start?
According to the history of the Nissan Quest Vg30e engine from 1993 thru 1998 these group of engines were non-interference engine, so if the belt breaks it will not damage the valves. This feature was demanded by FORD from Nissan before FORD agreed to used this engine in their ViLLAGER and Nissan Quest vans in the time of their joint venture.
The Villager is NOT an interference engine. This is straight from a guy who was engineering liaison between Ford and Nissan on this project. The catalogs that say it is are WRONG.
starting with the redesigned 1998 altima the engine crankshaft was balanced much better to reduce vibration. we have a 1993 and a 1999 altima with the same engine and the 1999 is so smooth at idle i sometimes can't tell if it's running.
The oil capacity on a 1993 Nissan Altima is approximately 4.1 quarts. The oil that should be used is 5W-30.
( YES ) according to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) the 3.0 liter V6 engine in a 1993 Nissan 300 ZX ( IS AN INTERFERENCE ENGINE )
The Nissan Altima was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the Nissan Bluebird. Originally, it was named the "Stanza Altima," before the model name was shortened to its current form.
