The Nissan Altima was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the Nissan Bluebird. Originally, it was named the "Stanza Altima," before the model name was shortened to its current form.
The Nissan Altima is the best-selling sedan in the United States. In 2008, Nissan estimated the annual sales to be around 30,000. However, they have not released a statement on how many have been produced.
The first generation of Nissan Altimas was produced in 1993. The Nissan Altima is still being produced today, with a new 2010 design just being released.
No, the Sentra has always been the small, compact model from Nissan.
Nissan introduced a hybrid version of the Altima, but unfortunately it has not lived up to the car company's expectations. The hybrid Altima has been available only in several states in the U.S.A., and it seems that Nissan would have trouble in expanding sales nationwide. The decision to cease production of the hybrid Altima has been balanced by the development of the Leaf, which is an electric car that is much more fuel efficient.
The top selling automobile model made by Nissan is the Nissan Sentra. This car has also been named one of the top selling cars in America.
Nissan is a piece of CRAP!! I've had soo many problems with my 2006 Altima 2.5s! O2 Sensor, crankshaft, oil and radiator fluid evaporating(no leaks)! Car hestiation, bucking, speed goes down just a mess! Nissan knows that their 2000-2006 was a recall, but the insist on selling and telling people they have good cars or that people are taking care of the car! A friend of mine also has a nissan altima her car stopped on the intersection with her 2yr old in the car.She almost died that day, cars had to jumped over in order to NOT hit them! She has been to Nissan several time abt this problem! I tell everyone DO NOT buy a nissan altima or any other car from the Dishonest Company! GoodLuck hun...I wish I could sue their A****!
It is common to have a knocking or clunking noise of a 99 Nissan Altima, even after the struts have been replaced. This may be due to worn ball joints. It is best to replace the ball joints, too.
5w 30 4 qts. do not use syntetic unless the motor has been running on it for a long time
Yes, this is true for the 2.5 engine. The part # has been updated a number of times by Nissan and both cam and crank sensors are now the same part#.
Please contact us at 814.899.8885 we may be able to help.
it could be the crank sensor as it is a problem for the altimas.
