Check battery first, then solenoid. Try a jump.

Ford Pickup Starter Solenoid LocationOn my 1989 and 1993 F-150s the starter solenoid is mounted on the right "inner" fender about 6 or 8 inches "aft" of the battery. I suspect yours is there also.
Bottom of the valve body. Remove tranny pan to get at it
inside the frame rail on the drivers side
On passenger side firewall next to evaporator housing.
