It depends on which operating system you are using. If you are using client-based OS (Windows XP, Windows Vista) most likely you will not be able to use either. Because your applications do not know which adapter to use. Server-based OSes can use many network adapters without any problems.
Wireless Networking
Wireless is a type of LAN, it has not replaced it. For some wireless is a simpler technology and certainly easire to install, however the wired lan is both faster and more secure. A wired lan also generally provides more management capabilities than wireless.
Nowadays routers usually have both wireless and lan connection. So when you buy a wireless router just make sure that it has a lan switch too.
twisted pair cable can used as LAN connections....for example CAT5 and CAT6 both twisted pairs.
Its simply called a wireless LAN - available at most retailers.

working principle of wireless lan
If you mean, "What is a wireless LAN?" The answer is simple. A wireless LAN is a network that connects multiple computers, gaming consoles, and gaming devices and allows them to connect to the internet, but only if they are capable of using wireless. Wireless LAN is achieved by using a wireless router. LAN stands for Local Area Network.
