Yes, but I can not speak for ALL PS3s, I own 4 PS3s. Two are the old "fat" one 40g and one 80g both hooked up to voltage converters. The other two are the newer slim 120g, both of which are plugged directly into 220-240v outlets. All four of my PS3s were purchased from the US, and they all say 110v on the back.

No. The playstation 3 is only rated to be run at 120V. The plug doesnt fit, and even if it did, the AC/DC converter in the PlayStation may fry.

I know for a fact my ps3 model CEHH01 Jan 2008 i bought from USA works in Q8 even though for some strange reason it only says 120v on the back no mention of 220-240 v.
