Yes, but I can not speak for ALL PS3s, I own 4 PS3s. Two are the old "fat" one 40g and one 80g both hooked up to voltage converters. The other two are the newer slim 120g, both of which are plugged directly into 220-240v outlets. All four of my PS3s were purchased from the US, and they all say 110v on the back.
no.
There is no formula to convert voltage. Voltage is universal.
it can connect to the PS3 and Wii
voltage divider biasing
using step up transformers

no because UK runs on a diffrent voltage system
A much shorter cord can produce extra voltage. Apparently its the lack of voltage from wd passport to the playstation that's the issue
No it wouldn't but I bet if there is a universal Mic it could work, but I doubt it...
It depends in which country the equipment was purchased. If the country's voltage is 220 volts then it is most likely the supply needed for the PS3 is 220 volts. Check the nameplate on the device to see what the manufacturer recommends and stay at that voltage.
Universal AC adapters typically come in several types based on their output specifications. The most common types include adjustable voltage adapters, which allow users to select the required output voltage, and fixed voltage adapters, which provide a specific voltage output. Additionally, some universal adapters feature interchangeable tips to fit various devices, while others may include multiple ports for charging multiple devices simultaneously. It's important to ensure compatibility with the voltage and polarity requirements of the device being powered.
AC voltage controllers are used for controlling the speed of universal motor or induction motor by changing the firing angle :) -vinodh gav
