No, I tried, it broke mine.
yes
An r4i can let you back up the games that you already have (please note an r4i only works on a dsi and dsi XL if you do not have a dsi or a dsi XL you will have to get a normal r4 but do not be sad a normal r4 cando everything an r4 can).
It has anti-piracy protections that prevents a lot of flashcards from being used on it. There are many r4 XL card, which can support Nintendo DSi console. such as r4i gold card from r4ids.cn,r4i gold v2.0 from r4ids.com,r4i sdhc card,r4 XL,dstti and so on.
I am inclined to say yes. Due to the fact that the DSI and the DSIXL are based on the same platform, do the same things, and operate in the same way. But you will need the R4I card. except the r4 ds card, all other r4 cards can work on DSi.
Yes, DS games do work in a DSi XL. The DSi XL is part of the DS line, so DS games are meant to work with it.
There are 5 main flash carts for the DSi & DSi XL:Acekard 2i (good)Supercard DSOnei (good)EZ Flash ViDSTTiR4iiEDGE (good) Also, all the flash cards support DSi firmware v1.4Always buy from authorized retailers. Also, R4 XL card support Nintendo DSi V1.4.2.R4i Gold and R4i SDHC support Nintendo DSi V1.4.2 and 3DS.
You could get a R4 Chip (If you have Nintendo Ds or Nintendo DSI) It costs £35 (about) It is illegal but you can put up to 40 games on it! (Google R4) If you have a DSi or DSi XL its a bit harder. You have to get a R4i - But the thing is Nintendo Dsi and Nintendo DSi XL get updates which patch your R4i and stop it working. The only way to get it to work on a DSi is to NEVER update your handheald, updating is a manual process so it wont automaticly patch your R4i This is the DS option. If you want to get any game on the wii for free you need to solder chips in your wii, so its more difficult.
Yes, the DSi charger is the same as the DSi XL.
No, the DSi XL has its own charger.
All of the games that work for any DS will work for DSI XL.
