YES!!! It is absolutely worth it. This way, you can spend the day in one park, and go see a show, or parade in another at night (some parades only show a few times a week). Animal Kingdom closes very early, so I like to go to MGM Studios and see a show that night. Also, it means you can return to a park, you can leave for dinner, or come back to your favorite on the last day.
A Park Hopper allows you to visit more than one Disney theme park in one day. For example, you can go to Epcot in the morning and end your day at the Magic Kingdom.
All tickets (even without the Park Hopper option) allow you to re-enter the same park later in the day. For example, you can go to the Magic Kingdom, leave for lunch at your hotel, and then re-enter the Magic Kingdom.
Yes. Transportation is provided between parks although that is available even without a park hopper ticket. You could have purchased a non-hopper EPCOT ticket & if you wanted to go to Hollywood Studios for example, you're more than welcome to board the bus that goes there. Naturally you'll have to buy a ticket once you get to H.S. but the travel there is complimentary.
Park Hopper tickets are what gets you on the monorail, so you can travel from park to park.
Transportation within the Disney Resort (the Disney buses, monorails etc) is generally complimentary.
Yes. Disney tickets are worth the cost especially when you have children. The cost will be in the range of hundreds of dollars. Kids will be a bit cheaper.
Yes, it does!
Hopper tickets/passes is a package deal that Disney offers which allows you to purchase one ticket for all the Disney parks. The good thing about a hopper pass is if you want to "hop" from one park to the next in a day, you are able to. It basically enables you to visit any Disney park as many times as you'd like. A regular priced hopper pass can usually be used a total of five times. The Park Hopper is great between Magic Kingdom and Epcot because they have a Monorail System.

There's no Disney World in Japan. However, there is a Disneyland there and it also has a one of a kind Disney Sea.
