A bigger trans wouldn't change anything in fact it would weigh more and probably cause you to lose mpg. If the present trans doesn't have an overdrive, replacing it with one that does would increase mpg.
The Saturn 100 / 200 currently gets an estimated 25 MPG city and 33 MPG highway, with a Manual transmission. Automatic transmission yields 24 MPG City / 33 MPG Highway.
It depends on the engine, transmission, and how you drive. I have a 3 speed manual transmission with a 300 CI 6 cylinder engine. I get about 15-17 MPG.
Probably in the 15 mpg range depending on automatic or standard transmission.
A Mazda 626 with 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission gets about 20-25 MPG. Your mileage will vary according to driving conditions. Worst case city driving will result in mileages as low as 19 MPG. 28 MPG is typical on a good highway. A straight shift transmission can increase your gas mileage slightly. With manual transmission you can get up to 33 MPG on the highway. The V6 gets slightly less mileage. You will get about 18-24 MPG with the V6 and automatic transmission
Depends on engine, transmission, etc...
For both manual and automatic transmission, 17 mpg cily/ 24 mpg highway.
MPG can be 22 in the city and 34 on the highway with a manual transmission. With an automatic the MPG would be 19 in the city and 30 on the highway. If you plan on buying a Dodge Nitro, be sure to get a manual transmission. MPG is much better, you have more control, and it's a lot more fun to drive.
Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0L 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission was rated at 16 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.
Depends on the engine and transmission
