Yes chickens eat pests. I have seen my chickens catch and eat mice, insects, and frogs. They will even chase each other around to try to steal their treat from each other. I have even heard of chickens eating small snakes.
Yes. Caterpillars are on the menu for chickens but they are selective as to which ones they will eat. Apparently some of the species of caterpillars are fowl tasting.
Egg Caterpillar Cocoon Butterfly
The egg shell contains vital nutrients for the caterpillar and help give it a jump start.
no
Well, first they come out of the egg but not a lot of people know this,(they eat there egg) then they just eat and grow and eat and grow, after that it will make a ca coon then in about 10-14 days a butterfly will come they live up to 2 weeks.
I Will Cook The Boil Egg And I Will Eat
Most butterfly eggs are oval or circular and stuck on to the plant the baby caterpillar will eat.
eat them
Crack the egg in half and eat the shell
there is no caterpillar egg. the caterpillar turns into a butterfly then the butterfly lay the egg.
A regular chicken egg can approximately hold around 4 lbs. Not much, but it is depending on the chicken and it's health about how the egg shell will produce. Some chickens don't get enough rocks or egg shells to eat and they may lay an egg without a shell. Happened with me before and I learned that they need to eat small rocks and/or crushed egg shells that were heated. If they get enough of these, the shell will come out perfect. :) Hope this helps...
it really just depends on which type of caterpillar it is. most caterpillar's eat leaves. if you wet a leaf and leave it on the grass it will come and drink the water on the leaf and then munch on the leaf until the caterpillar, well, doesn't wan;t to eat anymore.
